The difference between IMAP and POP

POP and IMAP are email protocols used to connect to mail servers so you can download or access your email.

POP is designed to download mail from a server to a single computer and then remove the copy from the server.

IMAP on the other hand is a great option if you need to check your emails from multiple devices like laptops, desktop computers and smart devices. You can synchronize the account from any device with IMAP as well ensuring all of your devices are up to date.
